Scholarships at University of Wollongong
Clever Care NOW supports four scholarships each year at The University of Wollongong (UOW) in an effort to address the growing healthcare shortages and develop the next generation of healthcare professionals. The not-for-profit hopes the scholarships will give back to the community and encourage more students to consider a career in community nursing. The Opportunity Scholarship is designed for new students enrolling into a Bachelor of Nursing at UOW whilst the Corporate Scholarship is aimed at supporting students in the second or third year of their nursing studies.
In addition to the scholarships’ monetary value, recipients may be offered paid work opportunities with Clever Care NOW while studying. Not only will this provide students with additional income, but they’ll also gain valuable hands-on experience working in the healthcare industry before graduating.
Sponsorship of Powerful Rugby Team
We are a proud sponsor of the Powerful Owls Rugby Union Football Club, who participate in the Sydney Mixed Ability Rugby Teams (SMART) organisation. The club provides both competitive and non-competitive Rugby training and playing. Everyone is welcome to participate and we customise training and playing according to the skill level of the players in a safe, supportive and fun environment.
Sponsorship of The Spirit Pickleball Competition
Clever Care NOW recognises that active ageing promotes better health and wellbeing for older Australians and supports the role of pickleball as a positive experience for physical and mental health. With 160 participants, The Spirit is a tournament celebrating pickleball as a social and community engagement and wellbeing activity and all proceeds from The Spirit will flow back into Clever Care Now’s charitable community activities.
